If you already have a plate carrier capable of holding 9.25” x 12.25” curved SAPI-shaped rifle plates and are looking for a quality, affordable armor plate, and trauma pad package, then this bundle is for you.
Our Level III rifle plates are capable of stopping 7.62x51 M80 NATO ball ammo (at 2,780 feet per second), and also perform well against 5.56x45 M855/SS109 ‘green tip’ ammunition. The Ironside Rifle Plate has a base coating of high-performance hybrid polyurea coating to protect the steel from the elements.
In addition to giving the plate a 20-year shelf life, the polyurea coating has the side-benefit of deflecting some bullet fragmentation away from the wearer (for additional protection, take a look at our Frag Sleeve™).
Rounding out this package is the addition of two Ironside Trauma Pads, designed to help reduce backface deformation and energy transferred from a bullet strike.
